Wetsuit hire

Before we even get on to the topic of what wetsuit to buy it might be a good idea to hire. If you are naturally buoyant and love to breaststroke you might find that most swim wetsuits make you even more buoyant and your legs will want to float to the surface. Over long distances this can give you back ache. If you have a nice neutral body position in the water you also do not need extra buoyancy as this will make rotation harder and your legs may be too high. If you are a runner and you find your legs sink you may want to opt for a wetsuit that does have buoyancy in the legs as this will left them higher and help achieve a better body position in the water. Or you might also be someone who suffers with the cold and wants to keep warm but not necessarily float too much. We are all different and so there are many different options to match but it can be super overwhelming. To alleviate the stress we found Tri Wet Suit Hire, which is a fantastic service run by two women Lyn and Sarah. Male or female you can send in your measurements and the type of swimmer you are and they’ll send you a suit that fits. You can hire for 2 weeks, 4 weeks or a whole season with the option of purchasing the suit at the end. This is a great way to try before you buy. Soon we will be reviewing a range of wetsuits to buy as if you love wild swimming and want to stay in longer during the winter then it is worth the investment. Let us know how you get on!
