Swim for mental health

In August 2019 Open Minds started working with the Richmond Fellowship in Wiltshire to run introduction to wild swim sessions at Farleigh Hungerford. The staff and volunteers experience the sessions first of all, before accompanying some of their service users on a separate swim. The feedback from everyone was incredibly positive and all reported what a difference just a few swims made alongside a few minutes of mindfulness at the end of each session. One service user told us how he felt lighter mentally after just one session and was keen to keep it going. We will continue these sessions in 2020.
