A playlist to wild swim to…

Here’s a wild swimming and wellbeing playlist of tracks I curated for all you wild simmers and winter dippers!

I hope you like it. I tried to curate it based on the range of emotions we feel during our cold water dips. Most, not all of the tracks are routed in soul, and I’ve tried to select lyrics and sounds that are inspiring and evocative. Starting with the gentle call to the water with Morcheeba’s the Sea and Al Green’s Take me to the River and moving on to the nervous build up vocalised by Aretha Franklin’s Save Me, and Bob Dylan’s Don’t Think Twice its Alright, which for me epitomises the self-questioning prior to getting in! We then flow into the swim itself, sound tracked by a personal favourite, Swim Good by Frank Ocean. For the rush of emotions that follow I have added some soulful and euphoric tracks leading into the empowering Feeling Good by the one and only Nina Simone. Finally, no swimming playlist would be complete without a bit of Otis to round things off.

Enjoy and please let me know what you think :)
