We know that being outside makes us feel good, especially when we do something fun with other people.
If you’ve ever wanted to try some outdoor activities but felt unsure, come join other likeminded people at the West Country Water Park, BS36 1RY. We are running a morning of taster sessions including mindful running/walking, outdoor yoga and an intro to wild swimming. We will cater for all abilities and bodies.
Places are limited to 30 and you can do one or all of the activities for just £6. Booking information is below.

10.15 - 10.45 Wild Yoga by the Lake
10.50 - 11.20 Mindful Run/ Walk by the Lake
11.30 - 12.15 - Intro to Wild Swimming
12.30 Finish
LOCATION - WEST COUNTRY WATER PARK, TRENCHARD LANE, BS36 1RY, plenty of parking available. On arrival you will be asked to fill in a simple health questionnaire to make sure we can tailor the activities to suit your needs.
Please note that this is a newly refurbished lake and improvements are still ongoing, hence the ground maybe a little uneven in places.
What kit to bring
For the Walking/Running and Yoga activities just wear clothes you feel comfortable in and bring a good pair of trainers. We sadly have no control of the weather so bring plenty of layers and check the forecast to see if waterproofs are needed!
For the swimming please bring whatever you normally swim in, plus a towel and plenty of warm clothes for after. If you have a wetsuit you are welcome to bring it, but we will not be providing these on the day. This is more of a dip than a full on swim as the water temperatures will still be very fresh! You will be required to wear a swim hat so bring your own or if not we will have plenty you can borrow. We also have goggles you can borrow on the day if you feel brave enough to go for a full on swim.
The bottom of the lake is clay so if you don’t like how that feels on your feet then bring some beach shoes or neoprene socks if you have them
There will be toilets and changing facilities and for those swimming we recommend a warm drink for after.
There will be plenty of opportunity for you to explore the venue and if you're not doing all the activities you can sit and enjoy the surroundings.
